With over[2.1] twenty years of experience in education, Mr. Utt has established himself as a dedicated mathematics educator and mentor. He currently serves as a middle school mathematics teacher and club[3.1] advisor at T. Benton Gayle Middle School, where he is committed to helping students strengthen their mathematical skills, build confidence, and achieve their academic potential. Throughout his career, he has served[4.1] as a middle and high school teacher and mathematics specialist in Virginia public schools[5.1].

Mr. Utt’s academic background reflects his commitment to continued professional growth. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Public Policy and a Master of Arts in Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the College of William & Mary[6.1]. He later completed additional graduate studies in gifted education and mathematics education before earning an Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership with Licensure from Old Dominion University. Most recently, he completed a Graduate Certificate in Mathematics from Radford University.[7.1]

Mr. Utt has also distinguished himself through his commitment to student leadership and enrichment. He is particularly proud of founding Junior Beta clubs[8.1] at two schools where he served, creating additional opportunities for students to develop leadership skills, pursue academic excellence, and become active members of their school communities.

Throughout his accomplished career, Jeremy Utt has[9.1] received many awards and accolades and has been recognized for his accomplishments. His dedication to professional excellence, lifelong learning, and student achievement has earned him recognition among his peers and within the educational community. A National Board Certified Teacher[10.1], Mr. Utt has earned numerous professional distinctions throughout his career. He was designated a Phi Delta Kappa Distinguished Educator in 2019.[11.1] Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education recognized him with the Teacher of Honor Award in 2010 and the Master Teacher of Honor Award in 2021. He also received the Meritorious New Teacher Designation early in his career, further demonstrating his longstanding commitment to excellence in teaching.
